Computerised Electro-Dermal Screening, commonly called CEDS or electrodermal screening, is a non-invasive assessment that measures the electrical impedance of acupuncture points on the skin. The principle is based on the established relationship between acupuncture meridians and the organ systems they govern, combined with the concept that changes in electrical conductivity at these points reflect changes in the physiological state of the corresponding organ or system.
During the assessment, a hand-held probe delivers a small, painless electrical current to acupuncture points on the hands and feet. The conductivity response at each point is measured and compared against a calibrated range. Deviations from the normal range indicate stress, dysfunction, or imbalance in the associated system. The assessment also tests the body’s response to digital imprints of substances including nutrients, allergens, toxins, and remedies, providing information about sensitivities and deficiencies that other tests may not identify.

Assessment
You sit comfortably while Domenic applies the probe to acupuncture points on your hands and feet. The process is completely painless and takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on the scope of the assessment.
STEP 3
Results and Discussion
Results are reviewed immediately in the same session. Domenic explains the findings, identifies priority areas, and recommends whether further functional laboratory testing is warranted and which tests are most relevant.
How to Prepare for CEDS Testing
Avoid wearing metal jewellery on hands and wrists during the assessment

The two approaches assess different aspects of reactivity. CEDS sensitivity screening is a broad screening tool. For confirmed IgG and IgA food reactions, the food sensitivity panel is the more precise laboratory-based option.
CEDS can indicate areas of toxic load stress through the body's response to heavy metal imprints in the assessment protocol. It provides a screening signal suggesting whether heavy metal burden warrants further investigation rather than a quantitative measurement of specific metals.
